Our vineyard, Koombahla, sits in the heart of Whitfield on red volcanic soils.
Our mission is to take care of the land on which we work and live, grow great fruit, make great wine and have a good time doing it.
Each year we select the best fruit and make wine that reflects the season and our vineyard.
Our family has lived and worked in the valley for over 100 years. We have grown apples, tobacco, grapes, and raised sheep and cattle.
Planted by Guy Darling in 1970, Koombahla was the first commercial vineyard in the upper King Valley.
The vineyard and winery are now owned and run by John Darling, with daughters Grace and Sophie.
